Two innovative approaches were adopted in re-erecting the building, which now stores most of COAMs dismantled buildings, awaiting re-erection. Firstly, as there had been no time to number up the corrugated roofing sheets on site, I reconstructed the original layout entirely by measuring and matching the spacing of the rivets on the sheets; secondly, by using a traditional tractor and plough to turn the cement powder into the clay surface, then watering and rolling it, we also created a durable hard and dry surface which can take heavy loads.
